Eatlean Protein cheese is made with the same ingredients as your everyday cheddar. We use milk, starter culture (to help convert milk to cheese) and salt. The clever part is in the skills of our cheese makers.
The only ingredients in our Protein cheese are Milk, starter cultures and salt. When our cheese is ready, it is made up of (approx.)
- 37% Protein
- 3% Fat
- 2% salt
- 0.5% Carbohydrates
- 5% Minerals (calcium, Potassium, etc)
- 50% moisture / water
(Milk is the main ingredient to make all cheese and as you may know, milk is made up of over 90% moisture / water. So even though our cheese feels dry (that is the increased level of protein) there is still a lot of moisture / water in all cheeses.)
Remember – Protein cheese is 100% natural
Our blocks, snack bars and grated are all lactose free. Spreadable, Cheese Bake and Chilli Grated are NOT lactose free.
